Nerja is a small coastal town just north of Málaga. It has small beautiful beaches. We drove up for the day and met up with Alek. He is the son of our neighbor in Montreal. He and his fiancee just moved to a smaller town north of Nerja. 

Both Jenn and I were trying to imagine what these places we are visiting look like in high season. It must be insanely crowded and hot. Even now in the off season there are lot of people. We are really happy not dealing with all of that. The rain is not horrible but the lack of sunshine is the downside to off season.

The main reason we went to Nerja was the caves. They were amazing, as you will kind of see in the photos. When you look at them, try to see people in them to get a sense of the scale. When I was in that huge cavern looking up at the amazing formations, I kept thinking of cathedrals. It was so impressive.
